Benetas purchases boutique Croydon retirement community in Melbourne’s east

Benetas is pleased to announce its purchase of The Oaks Retirement Community from Australian Unity, in Melbourne’s outer east.

The boutique 26-unit retirement community is located in leafy Croydon, just 1.2km from Benetas’ St John’s Rise Retirement Village in Mooroolbark.

The Oaks offers peaceful, low-maintenance units for the region, which is expected to experience increased demand for aged care services in coming years.

Benetas CEO Sandra Hills OAM said she was looking forward to welcoming The Oaks to its portfolio of retirement communities located in Mooroolbark, Traralgon, Roxburgh Park and Bendigo.

“We are delighted to be expanding our services to support older people at The Oaks, alongside St John’s Rise and our home care offering in the region,” Ms Hills said.

“We have almost 80 years’ experience in delivering aged care and fulfilling our mission to provide older Victorians with high quality services and environments that respect their independence and individuality.”
