Enhance Your Comfort and Independence at Home
As you age, tasks that were once easy may become more challenging. Steps, narrow spaces, and slippery surfaces can pose safety risks. Benetas can help you identify minor, or in some instances, complex adjustments to improve your safety and independence at home. Whether it’s installing grab bars in the bathroom, bed rails for easier movement, or accessing mobility aids for seniors like walkers or wheelchairs, we’re here to support your everyday needs.

How Benetas Can Support You to Live Independently at Home?
Looking to improve your safety in specific areas such as the bathroom or bedroom? Benetas can help you install grab bars in bathroom or bed rails to make it safer to move around and navigate. We can help you access mobility aids like walkers or wheelchairs to allow greater movement around your home.
Other aids such as shower chairs, adapted cutlery or other allied health equipment can provide greater independence for you at home. Perhaps your loved ones would feel at ease if they knew you have access to technological aids such as alarms or emergency call systems.
Who Might be Eligible for Assistive Technology and Home Modifications?
You may need home modifications, products or equipment if you:
- Live with dementia
- Have safety concerns or difficulty moving around your home
- Have trouble with personal care such as using your shower
- Have trouble getting in or out of bed, or sitting on the toilet
- Can't use the rooms you need to use in your home
- Have continence issues
- Have difficulty achieving your goals in your home because of a disability
- Need changes to your home so your carers can support you safely
- Experience physical pain or discomfort
How Does the New Funding Work?
Assistive Technology-Home Modifications (AT-HM) is separately funded from your regular care budget, so you won’t need to set aside money for modifications or equipment. There are three funding tiers, depending on what you need:
Tier | Funding Limit | Common Uses |
---|---|---|
Low | Under $500 | Grab rails, adaptive cutlery, raised toilet seats |
Medium | Up to $2,000 | Shower chairs, portable ramps, rollators |
High | Up to $15,000 | Bathroom renovations, stairlifts, wheelchair-accessible entrances |
