What are Social Support Groups?
Many people join their first Social Support Group feeling unsure. By the end of their first session they’ve shared a laugh, met new friends, and are already planning their next visit.
Benetas Social Support Groups are our umbrella service offering two program types. Day Centre Groups are held at Benetas locations for people who need more support, while Bus Groups take participants on community outings and are suited to people with higher mobility and independence. Our team helps match each person to the right group.
Groups are led by trained Benetas staff who create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. Activities support wellbeing, reduce isolation, and help people remain living independently for longer.
