About St Laurence Court Community
St Laurence Court Community is designed to support independent living for seniors, offering comfortable and affordable homes for people aged 65 and over. The village features 38 newly refurbished units, each with modern layouts, new kitchens and bathrooms, energy efficient appliances, and updated heating and cooling systems.
Residents also enjoy access to shared spaces including the village community room and Eternal Gardens, as well as the on site residential aged care home. Together, these amenities create a welcoming neighbourhood where connection, community, and support are always close by.

What's the lifestyle like at St Laurence Court Community?
Resident selection is carefully managed, with an interview process to ensure homes are offered to those who need them most. Older single women—Australia’s fastest-growing group at risk of homelessness—are prioritised.
Benetas CEO Sandra Hills OAM said the new retirement community would meet the rising demand for affordable housing across Victoria, particularly in regional areas. Ms Hills said seniors without the means to enter the housing and rental markets would be the community’s target demographic.
“Benetas is extremely proud of this refurbishment and what it will do to address housing shortages for older people in and around Bendigo,” Ms Hills said. She added that the refurbishment aims to provide a safe, welcoming, and modern community for seniors who may struggle to access housing in today’s market.
