About St Laurence Court - Eaglehawk

The warm, homelike feeling of St Laurence Eaglehawk is what stands it apart. Community is very much at its heart, as residents are either friends already or form close friendships in its sociable inclusive surroundings. Staff know each resident personally, and provide genuine, tailored care in a way that makes each resident feel immediately at home.

St Laurence Eaglehawk is nestlled amongst gardens and outside terraces, and boasts internal courtyards with roses and fountains, as well as a BBQ and veggie patch. There is a beautiful chapel, along with a function suite that hosts local band practices and concerts. Residents can enjoy hand massages and nail painting, and regular visits from the local dogs home.

What are the meals like at Eaglehawk?

At Benetas St Laurence Court Eaglehawk we are proud of the delicious, healthy meals we prepare for residents and their guests. Cooks work closely with nutritionists and dietitians to ensure all meals prepared fulfil nutrition requirements. 

We use fresh produce in all our kitchens and cater to cultural and religious requirements, and aim to please all individual tastes. Benetas St Laurence Court Eaglehawk holds regular ‘food forums’ for residents and kitchen staff to discuss new ideas for the menus.

What is the lifestyle like at Eaglehawk?

A large, bright lounge area is used for regular entertainment activities, while a charming chapel, built in 1987, is used for regular services. A recently revamped courtyard now offers outdoor seating in a leafy, colourful sensory garden setting.

Multiple lounge and dining areas and an outdoor barbeque area ensure families can get together. Landscaped gardens over the 5.3 hectares offer residents a wonderful place for recreation and quiet reflection.

We encourage our staff and volunteers to bring a pastoral sensibility to their roles, to listen to and be truly present to our residents. Our specialist team of non-denominational Pastoral Care Practitioners provide individualised and ongoing spiritual and emotional support.

In addition, through our Lifestyle Program, denominational visitors and volunteer companions foster an ongoing connection with our residents’ chosen faith tradition and provide church and chaplaincy services.

How to book a visit

We are now accepting online bookings for all visits. To make a booking, you need to click on the link above, and follow the prompts. To help with your booking you will need to hand:

  • your mobile phone number
  • details of who you are visiting
  • proof of your flu vaccination stored electronically (see below)

About Online bookings

All bookings now need to be made via our online system

You need to have proof of your flu vaccination stored electronically (as a photo of the certificate or PDF). This can include your Benetas flu vaccination card if you have one. You will only need to do this once, the system will record this for future visits.

  • Bookings can only be made 10.00-12 noon and 1.30-3.30pm only, on a first come first served basis - and only if the capacity of each residence has not been reached.
  • Exceptions for a current flu vaccine will only be accepted on medical grounds and must be supported by evidence from a medical practitioner.
  • Visitor exceptions may apply based on individual circumstances and on compassionate grounds. These are particularly extended during end of life care. Please discuss these with the Residential Manager and make arrangements directly with them.
  • Please note, that under current directives, people under the aged of 16 are not permitted to enter unless they are visiting a resident who is receiving end of life care.

Once you have booked, you will get an SMS text message confirming the time. As you arrive for your visit, you need to confirm your entry at the self-service tablet at the residence – to complete this process you will again need the mobile phone number that you used to book your appointment to hand. Follow the prompts on screen to complete your sign-in.

And you will need to sign out of the same device after your visit.
