Your feedback to improve our home care services
13th April 2021
In October last year, Benetas ran a client experience survey to better understand the experiences of our Home Care clients and learn where we can improve services for both them and their families.
Completed by over 250 clients and 123 family members and carers, the survey found that some 90 per cent of clients felt that the Benetas team had treated them with respect, provided them with the support they needed, and would recommend Benetas’ Home Care services to friends and family.
General Manager of Community Health and Care, Helen Kemp, said that while this feedback was testament to the genuine care that her team held for clients, there was more that could be done.
“It’s clear that our clients find our personal carers, in-home nurses and allied health workers to be caring and genuinely focussed on getting the best outcomes for the older Victorians who they support,” Helen said.
“The feedback however, made it clear that we also need to provide as much clarity as we can on client statements, accounts and reimbursements.”
“We also need to ensure that we’re doing everything we can to offer important and timely communication for our clients on key service developments and health advice.”
The Community Health and Care Team has commenced processes to draw on the feedback and directly address the issues raised to continue meeting the needs of older Victorians now and into the future.
