Restricted visitor access to Gladswood Lodge and Colton Close in Moreland
30th June 2020
Benetas is temporarily reinstating restricted visitor access to Colton Close and Gladswood Lodge residential aged care homes in the municipality of Moreland as of today, Tuesday 30 June.
With Moreland identified as one of six local government areas at risk of heightened community transmission in Victoria, we believe it is important that we take this key preventative measure now to protect the health and safety of those most vulnerable to the disease.
This responds to the marked increase of active COVID-19 cases in Victoria, with the highest number reported yesterday, Monday 29 June, since early April.
Consistent with our previous restricted access program, this will temporarily limit visitor access to essential personnel only. This includes key staff, health care providers and important contractors and service providers such as catering, cleaning and linen.
Please find further information on the restricted visiting program HERE.
This has been a very difficult decision for us to make. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and adjust these measures as soon as we can. Our on-site team are committed to ensuring that all residents are well looked after during this time, and will be arranging avenues for family members to connect with their loved ones as soon as possible.
The impacted residents and families have been notified of the measures that have been put in place and they will continue to receive regular updates as the situation evolves.
If you have further questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
EDIT: As of 8 July, all Metropolitan Melbourne residential aged care sites are once again under stage 3 restrictions.
