Helen Kemp appointed interim General Manager, Community Health and Care for Benetas

23rd July 2020

Benetas is pleased to announce its appointment of experienced aged care and health industry leader and practitioner Helen Kemp on an interim basis to fill Benetas’ key executive role of General Manager, Community Health and Care, while Benetas continues to look for a permanent candidate.

Helen brings a wealth of experience and is well known in the aged care sector. She has held senior roles in multi-site public and private health sector organisations over her long career, on a permanent and interim basis as required.

Helen’s career history also includes substantial periods in management consulting and recruitment in healthcare and related industries, including as CEO of a successful aged care and disability start-up organisation.

Sandra Hills OAM said of Helen’s appointment, “Having someone with Helen’s calibre and experience join Benetas’ executive team, even on an interim basis, is very exciting.”

“We’re looking forward to working with her and benefitting from her many years in the industry, and I’m confident she will add tremendous value to our already capable executive and broader organisation.”

Helen said, “I am delighted to take up this role while Benetas searches for a permanent replacement.”

“The aged care sector is currently facing challenges which give us all the chance to step up and provide next level service to our clients and their families.

“I know Benetas well and I value what they also hold dear in terms of their customer focus and care. I am looking forward to the opportunity to help the existing team as much as I can over the coming period.”

A trained nurse, Helen also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Queensland University, where her major areas of study were health and physical education and sociology. She has also completed an MBA at Melbourne Business School.

Helen takes up this interim appointment on 10 August and Benetas is delighted to have her on board.
