What is exercise physiology?
Exercise physiology is the study of the body's responses to physical activity. These responses include changes in metabolism and in physiology of different areas of the body like the heart, lungs, and muscles, and structural changes in cells.
Exercise physiologists analyse their patients' fitness in order to help them improve their health or maintain good health. They help patients with heart disease and other chronic conditions, like diabetes or pulmonary (lung) disease to regain their health, or older people maintain a good level of exercise to maintain their independence.

Gina’s passion and extensive experience stems from working with patients suffering from chronic physical pain and chronic health conditions. She helps them learn easier and less painful methods to manage everyday activities.
