The Ageing in Australia Expo

The Ageing in Australia Expo is on again, bringing together over 50 organisations including aged care providers, government, advisory and other services who specialise in dementia care, palliative care, health services and support for people as they age.

Aged care and health systems are difficult to navigate. For older people who speak languages other than English, this complexity is greater due to their lack of prior experience in accessing aged care and related services, as well as a lack of information available in languages other than English.

The event provides an opportunity for people to find out about the range of support services available to them, and ask questions of aged care services, government departments, peak organisations and ethnic community organisations relating to their care and wellbeing.

Information will be provided in languages other than English, and interpreting services from Polaron Language Services will be on hand to assist with communication.

The Expo, now in its third year, is hosted by the Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing which is part of Benetas’ suite of services.

The Ageing in Australia Expo will be held at the Melbourne Town Hall on 2 May 2015, and is free for members of the public to attend. For more information and to obtain an exhibitor prospectus, please visit or call 03 8823 7979.
