Nick, Benetas Home Care Assistant

Nick has worked with Benetas as a Home Care Assistant for five years. Nick loves the flexibility and variation in his work - one day he might be cleaning and another transporting clients. Linda Elder, Respite Program Leader

Although recently employed with Benetas, Linda has had a sustained career in the aged care sector in residential, personal care, respite and administrative roles for over 20 years.

In her current role, Linda oversees the running of the client excursions, Centre and overnight respite programs at Hurlingham Respite Centre (a dementia-specific unit).

The care of people with dementia is very close to Linda's heart having had a personal family experience of the debilitating illness. She loves bringing comfort to clients' and carers' lives through the work at Hurlingham. Linda believes respite improves the quality of relationships by allowing the carer to have a break from day-day tasks and engage their loved one in a different way.
