The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing

In 2011, Australia had over a quarter (26%) of Australia's population born overseas and a further one fifth (20%) had at least one overseas-born parent.

The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing

To meet the diverse needs of our ageing population, Benetas is proud to support the Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing.

The Centre supports the aged care sector to address the needs of older people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

The Centre provides training, consultancy and resources to the aged care sector and also supports culturally and linguistically diverse communities to better understand the aged care services available in Australia.

The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing currently receives funding from the Australian Department of Social Services through the Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care (PICAC) program. This program aims to ensure that the needs of older people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are identified and addressed.
