An increasing number of older people are choosing to remain at home, including those with dementia or those who are frail and require nursing home level care. It’s an innovative and flexible approach to care that promotes a positive approach to ageing.
Types of home care
Government-funded care packages
- Low Level home care (hostel-type)- Community Aged Care Packages (CACP)
- High level home care (nursing home type)- Extended Aged Care Packages (EACH)
- Privately organised care (both low and high level care)- Benetas @ Home services
Benetas@ Home offers a range of services including:
- Cooking & meals preparation
- Assistance with personal care
- Escorting to appointments & social outings
- Assistance with rehabilitation regimes
- Home cleaning
- Care monitoring
- Respite care Shopping & errands
- Companionship
- Transport
You can receive a single service or any combination of services on a one-off or ongoing basis. We offer extended hours of care and flexible service delivery when and where you need it – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, overnight or for extended periods of care.
Benetas@ Home staff are:
- Trained, professional carers – personal carers are all Certificate III (Aged Care) trained and/or First Aid certified
- Able to communicate easily with older people
- Thoroughly reference and Victoria Police record checked
- Well presented, wearing the Benetas uniform and identification badge
- Respectful of frail, older clients and their families
- Sensitive to the needs of clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Many care staff are multilingual
