Dowell Court is a special place. Directly overlooking Ivanhoe Park, it is close to the local shopping village. Light filled sitting areas and secure courtyard gardens create a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. A small lounge area provides a private space for informal family gatherings and all clients have private rooms with dual share bathrooms.

Recognising that older people come from diverse backgrounds, Dowell Court has created an environment that aims to meet the individual needs of clients through its lifestyle program and clinical expertise.

 

Freshly cooked cuisines            

Dowell Court’s qualified chef caters for a variety of freshly cooked cuisines to meet individual preferences, while dining and living spaces facilitate community activities. 

 

Where lifestyle matters

There are many group and individual activities, including an annual holiday, art classes, community outings to local cafés, church groups and shopping, to name a few. There are also many individualised programs that include swimming, University of the Third Age, aromatherapy and the Twilight Program to assist people with dementia as well as pastoral care support to help clients meet their diverse religious, spiritual and pastoral needs.

An extensive volunteer program provides clients with an outstanding number of activities, highlighting the importance Dowell Court places on meeting the individual lifestyle needs of clients.
