Benetas Colton Close has recently undergone a multi-million dollar upgrade. The facility has expanded to offer 150 rooms, including a 29-room specialised low care dementia unit. The facility also provides for ‘ageing in place’, which enables residents to remain living in the low care hostel should their care needs change to require more specialised care.

Most hostel rooms have an en-suite, with a choice of shared and single bedrooms in the nursing home. A qualified chef caters for a variety of freshly cooked cuisines, while dining and living spaces and an attractive courtyard, facilitate community activities. Clients have easy access to an on-site hairdressing salon, podiatrist, physiotherapist and facility bus.

Colton Close offers a wide choice of leisure and lifestyle activities, such as massage, music, professional entertainers, regular outings, social activities, exercise groups, art classes, gardening and library services as well as pastoral care support to help clients meet their diverse religious, spiritual and pastoral needs..

In 2003, Colton Close was recognised for its outstanding achievements with two Accreditation with Merit awards by the Aged Care Standards & Accreditation Agency. One of only 9 awards given to aged care facilities in Victoria.
